Message
It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you to the department of Community &Preventive dentistry at Sindh institute of oral health sciences. The aim of Dental public health is to improve oral health care through appropriate health promotion, preventive, educational and treatment services.
The Department of Community Dentistry is involved in diagnosis, prevention and control of dental diseases as a discipline, or specialty of dentistry. The mission of the Department of Community Dentistry is to reduce disparities in oral health care for minorities and the underserved. We provide high quality oral health education, examinations, preventive services (dental sealants) and referrals for children in the existing clinical department of SIOHS, while exposing dental students to the needs of underserved children and the communities in which they live.
