Message

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialty of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of diseases and disorders of the face and jaws which includes orofacial trauma, congenital and acquired defects and disorders, facial infections, tumors of the head and neck region, tooth extractions, placement of dental implants and dental anesthesia.

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences is dedicated to excellence in providing education that will prepare the graduates to practice the contemporary scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The primary objective of the undergraduate curriculum is to provide didactic and clinical training in routine dentoalveolar surgery, management of medically compromised patients, local anesthesia and sedation, and pain control, to render the highest quality specialized patient care, to contribute to new knowledge in the field through research and other scholarly activities, and to provide service to the community and the profession.
