MISSION STATEMENT

  • The mission of IMT is to develop integrated programs and impart training for quality education, discipline and character building for undergraduate medical technologists, who would be committed to professional excellence based on community and research orientation and having ever evolving contemporary knowledge and technical advancement in health sciences.

GOALS

  • Provide students with an excellent comprehensive education in medical technology in a student-centered learning environment leading to an undergraduate (Bachelor of Science) or associate degree.
  • Prepare students to function in career-entry, professional positions as medical technologist practitioners for the healthcare environment.
  • Prepare students to be life-long learners so as to remain informed with current advances in the field of medical technology.
  • Increase opportunities for student participation in research and scholarship.
  • Collaborate with education institutions, government agencies to enhance and create undergraduate research activities and funding opportunities.
  • Develop clinical affiliation with local and national clinical institutions to enhance best practices of medical technology which is evidence based and patient-centered.
  • Encourage and facilitate student participation in community and volunteer services.
  • Develop market- responsive new undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs consistent with mission and goals of the university.
  • Attract and retain qualified and highly productive faculty that contributes to the academic core of the university.
