This workshop will improve the research skills and competence amongst participants by strengthening their theoretical and practical knowledge to develop a Research Proposal.
Identify different components of a health-related Research Proposal.
Develop scientific skills to design a Research Proposal based on the concepts taught and by applying standard Research Methods.

At the end of this session you will be able to understand what is endnote.
How can create library for search material.
How can search online references using endnote.
How can export search references to your word document.
How to store a reference manually in endnote library.
How to import reference in endnote library using Google scholar.
How to change the style of references from one format to another format.
RESEARCH GRANT WRITING
To develop the skill for writing an effective grant application.
This workshop would cover the important tips and guidelines to prepare an effective proposal for the successful grant and the pitfalls that should be avoided.
It would also cover how to response to the reviewers and how to prepare the budget? It would also discuss the application form of Pakistani funding agencies, such as Higher Education Commission, Pakistan Science Foundation, Pakistan Health Research Council and Jinnah Sindh Medical University funding committee.
BASIC BIOSTATISTICS WITH SPSS
How to manage data, data enrty, transformation, re-cording, sorting.
Descriptive statistics including table and graphs.
Testing of hypothesis using parametric tests (one and two sample t-test)
Testing of hypothesis using non-parametric tests.
EPIDEMIOLOGY AND STUDY DESIGN
Define epidemiology and describe its importance in research

Workshop Title: Potential of Healthcare Analytics in Pakistan: A Practical (Hands-on) Perspective
Workshop Objective: The objective of the workshop is to practically demonstrate the core dimensions of Healthcare Analytics to workshop attendees.
Workshop Outline: The purpose of the workshop will be to present an overview of Healthcare Analytics and to introduce the core data science skills relevant to medical students, practitioners, and consultants.

Data Cleaning and Exploratory Data Analysis using real-life datasets - Numerical column analysis through boxplots and histograms, correlation analyses through heatmaps and scatterplots, String column analyses through bar charts, data transformations, feature selection dealing with incorrect clinical data.
Clinical Predictive Analytics with Classification using real-life datasets – Predicting Adverse Drug Reaction for a given Patient
